Table Decoration Inspo for Easter

Table Decoration Inspo for Easter

Posted by Rebecca S on

I absolutely love Easter! The cosy autumn weather, the smell of fresh, home made hot cross buns wafting out of the oven, childhood memories of Easter bunny footprints and Easter egg hunts.

Every Easter my primary-school-teacher Mum tells a story about a prep boy she once taught. Mum had told the Easter story to her class and explained how the cross on hot cross buns is a symbol of Jesus and how he died. Later, as this particular boy happily ate a hot cross bun, melted butter oozing down his hands and chocolate all over his face, he exclaimed in wonder, "To think Jesus died on a hot cross bun!"

...sometimes Easter doesn't go quite as planned.

If you're looking for inspo for your Easter table decorations this year, our lovely team member Sam has put together some gorgeous displays using products from The Fair Trader.

In case you're not already acquainted, let us introduce you to our Tulip Glasses by Ngwenya Glass. Mouth blown by expert artisans in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), these hand-crafted tumblers will amplify your table setting. Every single glass is unique and features mesmerising colour flecks. These beauties come in white, blue, green and orange.

The Tulip Glasses look charming paired with our Palm Leaf coasters. Handwoven from jute, the natural sandy-golden colour provides a gloriously neutral base for your table setting.

Next up is our luxurious 100% cotton Handloom Tea Towels. Used here as a napkin, they look beautiful with some Easter treats laid out on top for your guests!

The cosy Easter atmosphere wouldn't be complete without a scented candle burning. Riau Soy Candles come in lots of different scents, but Vanilla & Spice is definitely one of our favourites. Add some hand-picked flowers from the garden in a glass vase for simple elegance. We love these pretty little white blooms that Sam has chosen. Dried or fresh flowers both work.

Last but certainly not least is the Easter chocolate! This year we're stocking Cocoa Loco Easter Eggs which are made from Fairtrade certified, organic cocoa. We also have delicious Fair Trade chocolate bars from Bennetto Natural Foods and Tony's Chocolonely.
Hop in store at Croydon South (we're open Easter Saturday 9am-3.30pm) or shop online (we recommend selecting Express Postage!) to grab some of these ethical Easter goodies.
