Returns
The Fair Trader is a small business so we hope you understand that unfortunately we can not provide refunds if you change your mind. However we do offer exchanges.
Exchanges
The Fair Trader offers an exchange or Gift Voucher if you change your mind or are unhappy with your purchase.
To be eligible for an exchange, your item(s) must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and any tags must still be attached. Your exchange needs to be lodged within 14 days of purchase. To complete your exchange, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
To lodge an exchange, please email fairtraderstore@outlook.com and ensure you include the following information:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Order number
- The item(s) you wish to return
- The new item(s) you would like to receive or notify us if you would like a Gift Voucher
Our team will email you confirming we have received your return lodgement, and we will check we have the new item(s) in stock. You can then post the returnable item(s) back to us. Please ensure you include a note in the parcel that states your name, phone number and order number.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your exchange.
If your return is approved, then your exchange will be processed and the new product or Gift Voucher will be sent to you within 3 business days.
Please note: we do not offer exchanges or Gift Vouchers on sale items.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged item to reach you may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Faulty or Damaged Products
If your item has a defect or is damaged, please contact us at fairtraderstore@outlook.com and our team will assess where to go next.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer, contact us immediately.
Non-exchangeable Items
Several types of goods are exempt from being exchanged. This includes food, gift cards, earrings, lip balm and all sale items.
