Warlukurlangu Artists

Established in 1985, the Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation operates as a not-for-profit organisation that is fully owned by Aboriginal artists who live in the remote desert communities of Yuendumu and Nyirripi in Central Australia. Renowned for its vibrant acrylic paintings and limited edition prints, Warlukurlangu Artists has gained both national and international acclaim, with its artworks featured in numerous exhibitions and publications across Australia and beyond. The name "Warlukurlangu" derives from the local Warlpiri language, meaning "belonging to fire," in reference to a significant fire dreaming site located west of Yuendumu.
