Sustainably hand-crafted by artisans in Haiti using recycled burlap coffee sacks and 100% cotton, this beautiful earthy clutch/ utility/ cosmetic bag will be a much loved addition to your accessories. Made in a small workshop in Haiti that follows Fair Trade practices, your purchase supports disadvantaged artisans and their families.
Please note: These clutches are made from up-cycled coffee sacks, and as a result their colours/patterns are all unique. Please keep this in mind when ordering this product - you will receive a clutch that is truly one of a kind.

About The Makers:
Textiles from other nations flood the developing world, virtually closing down clothes production in the recipient country. Many of the pieces are not even re-sellable as they are often dated, and have holes or buttons missing, so often the item has travelled hundreds of carbon miles just to end up in landfill.
2nd Story Goods established their Sewing Group in 2011. The women search the stalls in the local open air market for suitable fabric. They love purchasing from local business women in their own city. The banter and mom to mom conversations a big part of the exchange! The fabric is then washed and sun dried and made into new products by the 2nd Story Goods sewing group.
When The group first started there was no electricity in the workshop so foot powered treadle sewing machines were brought in, the products that have been produced by this group never cease to amaze me.
All of our products are carefully wrapped and shipped to you from Brisbane, QLD.
We use sustainable wrapping and packaging as much as possible.
If your item doesn't fit in one of our parcel bags, we try and reuse boxes that have been sent to us.

Gift Wrapping
We will happily gift wrap products for an extra $2. This can be added at checkout along with a short note to the person receiving the gift.
When purchasing multiple products don't forget to include in your order notes if you would like the products to be wrapped separately or all together. Around Christmas time, please specify if it is a Christmas gift or not so we can choose the wrapping paper accordingly.
