Koguis have a direct Fair Trade partnership with artisans in Colombia. The artisans are masters at their handicrafts, using traditional techniques and skills that have been passed on through generations. The artisan who creates all the Koguis tagua nut jewellery is a talented man called Julian Perez who lives and works in Bogota. His wholesale partnership with Koguis allows him to receive a more regular income than the local Flee Market he sells his pieces at.

About the Tagua Nut

Also known as vegetable ivory, the tagua nut is an incredible seed that comes from the Tagua Palms native to South America. Being plant-sourced, it is a vegan and sustainable alternative to animal ivory or plastic, and it makes absolutely stunning jewellery!

 

All of our products are packaged and shipped to you from our store in Melbourne, Victoria by one of our small team, using FSC certified paper bags and recycled paper pulp. When your beautiful products don't fit in one of our parcel bags, we try and reuse boxes that have been sent to us.

We can gift wrap products in your order at no extra cost. This can be added at checkout along with a short note to the person receiving the gift.
