FREE (Foundation for the Realisation of Economic Empowerment) is a jewellery social enterprise in Zambia that was founded in 2011. Currently a group of 10 young women are employed by FREE in Ng’ombe Compound. They’ve learned how to solder, to etch, to enamel, to string beads, to rivet, to fold form, and many other skills. Zambia is one of the world's biggest producers of copper, but there is little local manufacturing using this material. The small group of women at FREE use this locally-sourced metal to create their beautiful jewellery pieces.

All of our products are packaged and shipped to you from our store in Melbourne, Victoria by one of our small team, using FSC certified paper bags and recycled paper pulp. When your beautiful products don't fit in one of our parcel bags, we try and reuse boxes that have been sent to us.

We can gift wrap products in your order at no extra cost. This can be added at checkout along with a short note to the person receiving the gift.

Enjoy $10 flat rate postage available Australia and New Zealand wide and FREE POSTAGE of orders over $150.00.

We will to ship your order within 2 business days through Australia Post. Express Post is also available and can be selected at checkout.

Our products are a curated selection of intentional and purposeful items which work towards alleviating global issues and inequities. Many of our products hold Fair Trade Certifications from the World Fair Trade Organisation, Fair Trade Australia & New Zealand as well as sustainable textile certifications such as the GOTS Certification.
