Papulankutja Artists
Papulankutja (Blackstone) is a remote Aboriginal Community, located at the foothills of the Blackstone Ranges in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands, Western Australia.Papulankutja Artists evolved out of the Women’s Centre where painting was encouraged as an activity since 2001. Once registered as an Aboriginal Corporation in 2004 the artists were now able to govern their art centre independently. In 2009 Papulankutja Artists moved into a purpose built art centre with rooms for men and women to paint. As well as their paintings Papulankutja Artists are known for their innovative fibre work and carvings from local wood.
About the Producer - Alperstein Designs
Alperstein Designs are members of The Indigenous Art Code and the Aboriginal Art Association of Australia which work to ensure ethical dealings within the sector.
All of our products are packaged and shipped to you from our store in Melbourne, Victoria by one of our small team, using FSC certified paper bags and recycled paper pulp. When your beautiful products don't fit in one of our parcel bags, we try and reuse boxes that have been sent to us.
We can gift wrap products in your order at no extra cost. This can be added at checkout along with a short note to the person receiving the gift.
